On January 29th, 2025, a Black Hawk helicopter collidied with the American Airlines flight 5342 at the Ronald Reagan International Airport in Washington D.C. This incident killed all 67 passengers on the flight. This horrible tragedy sparked controversy with the pilot of the helicopter, whom was targeted as a terrorist and an unskilled DEI hire. This horrible incident, which never should have happened in the first place, was a reflection on America, and it’s flaws. Following the incident, in the next week, there were 2 other plane crashes, with the same outcome- no survivors. This piece is a reflection on America and on those Americans who lost their lives, commemerating the life of Americans and their accomplishments.
